Dear Parent/Guardian,
____________________is going to attend a field trip to Life Adventure Center of the Bluegrass, and your child has been invited to attend!
Life Adventure Center is a unique experience of discovery and development where lifelong lessons are learned. Life Adventure Center uses a combination of physical and hands-on outdoor activities to teach children about the world around them. These activities are designed to encourage participants to learn from nature and how to become better stewards of the environment.
Life Adventure Center has four components to its program:

Environmental Education: this component is located on our farm in Versailles. Activities may include running/hiking, exploring, or the use of gardening hand tools.

Mobile Unit: this component travels to your child’s school and provides activities that are low-risk on or near the ground.

Challenge Course: this component is located on our farm in Versailles. It involves a low and high ropes course.

Equine Assisted Learning: this component can either travel to your child’s school with our miniature horse, Amigo, or it can take place on our farm in Versailles using our miniature horse or a full sized horse.
Your child will have the opportunity to participate in our Environmental Education Program on ________. You will be asked to sign the attached Consent and Release Agreement in order for you child to participate. This form is designed to cover all of the programs offered by Life Adventure Center even if your child will not be participating in all three components of the program. The Environmental Education Program includes games/lessons that may include running/hiking, exploring, or the use of gardening hand tools. Our permission form can seem scary but it contains standard legal language that we are required to have by our accreditation agency.
