Life Adventure Center of the Bluegrass is pleased to offer Equine Camp for the 2008 summer. The co-educational day camp is tailored to meet the needs of youth with a passion for horses, learning, and having fun. Camp activities include horseback riding instruction, equine vocational training, character education, equine field trips, crafts, journal writing, and horse games.

The five-day sessions meet from 9a.m. – 3p.m and are offered for children ages 10-15. Summer Equine Camp participants will learn about horses on our 575-acre farm while building self-confidence and interacting with peers in a safe, positive environment. They receive daily hunt-seat riding instruction from a team of professionals, and learn equine vocational skills such as grooming, saddling and bridling, bathing, bandaging, and taking equine vital signs. Campers participate in a variety of hands-on activities designed to promote positive peer interactions, healthy decision making, self-esteem, and improved communication skills.
