Vaulting is actually documented as being the safest equestrian sport. It is one of the best ways to introduce people to the joy of riding horses in a safe, dynamic environment. During vaulting, a lunger is in control of the horse’s speed and direction on a circle which frees the participant to focus on their body and the movement of the horse. Moves are practiced extensively on the barrel before moving to the horse. Our experienced instructors and horses are committed to providing you with a safe, empowering, and enjoyable experience.
Be comfy. Be safe.
Stretchy, comfortable pants that allow you to move freely (spandex, sweatpants, leggings, yoga pants, riding breeches, etc)
Layers for the weather, no hooded sweatshirts/coats please
Gymnastics or dance style shoes are ideal. Many types of water shoes, toms, or even 2 layers of socks will also work. If you don’t have any please come wearing tennis shoes.
Believe it or not, it's safer.
Most of the time, vaulting is done without a helmet, as it is believed to be safer. This is because vaulting requires diverse movements, during which helmets tend to get in the
way, obstruct vision, and throw the vaulter off balance.
