Meet our Staff
At LAC, we all wear multiple hats. Listed below isn't the ONLY job we do...just the one that's official!
Tim Magill | Executive Director
Tim joined the team in October of 2012. With his extensive background in the non-profit and camp worlds, he was a prime candidate to lead our crew into the future. His canine companion Cheyenne can normally be found following closely wherever Tim goes.

Jerry Lancaster | Building, Grounds & Farm Maintenance
It was broken one day and then, seemingly magically, you find it repaired and improved the next. You may not see Jerry but you’ll definitely notice his handiwork around LAC!
Kat Miller | Registrar
When you call LAC you’re most likely to be greeted by the kind Kentucky drawl of our Registrar Kathy Miller. The Versailles native spent years herding children as a school teacher. She now enjoys the more tranquil life of informing program staff they’ll be doing the herding.
Lauren Burke | Equine Manager
Rain or shine, any time of the year, you can find Lauren making sure the horses are fully taken care of. Lauren is an EAGALA Certified Equine Specialist and CHA Instructor with a gift for making people from any background comfortable around horses. She is also from North Carolina but we try not to hold that against her.

Nate Kuhl | Program Coordinator
Nate has a passion for camp, and loves the summer. He has an adventure leadership degree from Asbury University, and experience in both challenge courses and summer camps. He is always looking for ways to have fun that don’t require too much adrenaline. Scout (the dog) hasn’t met a stranger he didn’t like, and will also go swimming in the pond every chance he gets.

Josh Manly | Challenge Course Manager
Josh came to us in May 2015 with a passion for providing life lessons and resiliency for underserved populations. Soon after his arrival it became clear that with his experience and out-of-the-box creative thinking he would be a strong candidate to lead our team on the Challenge Course. Hailing from Colorado, Josh is also an avid outdoor adventurer with his main hobby being rock climbing. Josh’s Canine Companion Yona, the word for bear in Cherokee, is often found bounding closely behind Josh wherever they go throughout the property.

Byron Marlowe | Program Director
An avid outdoors-man, Byron enjoys hunting, fishing and just about anything that gets him outside. A veteran of our armed forces, the Military Adventure program of Life Adventure Center is his
brain-child and passion! His canine companion Josie pretty much runs the roost around here. Her white hair is often covered in dirt and mud after playing around the farm all day!

Cathy Terry| Chief Financial Officer
Cathy is a certified public accountant and brings a wealth of accounting and financial experience to the LAC team. Her background is in construction and she loves telling people "I went from building homes to building lives!" On any given day you may see her out and about on the farm as she oversees the beautiful 575 acres we have been entrusted with to enhance the quality of life in our community.

Barb Cornett| Environmental Education Manager
Barb earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Environmental Science with an emphasis in Biology from Georgetown College. She has spent her lifelong career protecting human health and the environment. She is passionate about people, pets, gardening and being outdoors. She is thrilled to explore Buckley Wildlife Sanctuary with our community.

Jeff Greenwell | Farm Manager
Keeping nearly 1000 acres of Kentucky farmland operational and beautiful is no small task, thankfully we have Jeff Greenwell on the job. Equally comfortable operating a 5-ton tractor as he is perfectly stacking hay, he’ll also grace you with endless witty remarks and wisdom free of charge.
Julie Breitigan | Program Facilitator
Julie joined that LAC staff in the spring of 2016 and brought with her a deep understanding of psychology and interpersonal skills which contribute greatly to LAC’s mission. She also has sweet ninja moves.

Todd Trivisonno | Program Coordinator
Todd has always enjoyed the outdoors and was shocked to learn that not only could you get a degree in outdoor recreation but jobs existed in the field as well. A native of Lexington, he attended Western Kentucky University before working overseas with Army MWR then returning closer to home to work with LAC. He still loves the outdoors, especially sharing it with others!

Tracey Wright | Director of Administration
Tracey is our encouraging, "legacy builder". In more ways than one....she was with Life Adventure Center when it was known as The Cleveland Home and values the importance of building connections in the community. She works with the LAC Development Team and enJOYs inspiring others to support the under-served kids, Veterans and dynamic groups that we serve.

TJ Phillips | Program Coordinator
TJ is an Army brat and has moved around his entire life. He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Recreation and Parks Administration degree. After working as a wilderness guide in North Carolina he decided to call Lexington home which brought him to LAC. He is passionate about helping people and making a difference through the great outdoors.

Wesley Scott | Development Director
Born and raised in (and by) a small farming community in south-central Illinois, Wesley is now proud to call himself an adopted Kentuckian. He accidentally got involved with fundraising when no one else in his youth group would ask for money, so he started doing it and never really stopped. Never expecting a career in development, Wesley studied psychology and political science, but was drawn back to development while working and volunteering at the Down Syndrome Center of Louisville during college. Since 2013, he has worked in political and non-profit fundraising.
Wesley met his lovely bride, Jena, at their alma mater, Bellarmine University, in Louisville, and they currently reside in Lexington with two high-maintenance cats.
