Meet our Staff
At LAC, we all wear multiple hats. Listed below isn't the ONLY job we do...just the one that's official!
Tim Magill | Executive Director
Tim joined the team in October of 2012. With his extensive background in the non-profit and camp worlds, he was a prime candidate to lead our crew into the future. His canine companion Cheyenne can normally be found following closely wherever Tim goes.

Cathy Terry| Chief Financial Officer
Cathy is a certified public accountant and brings a wealth of accounting and financial experience to the LAC team. Her background is in construction and she loves telling people "I went from building homes to building lives!" On any given day you may see her out and about on the farm as she oversees the beautiful 575 acres we have been entrusted with to enhance the quality of life in our community.

Laurel Hostetter | Director of Philanthropy & Engagment
Kat Miller | Registrar
When you call LAC you’re most likely to be greeted by the kind Kentucky drawl of our Registrar Kathy Miller. The Versailles native spent years herding children as a school teacher. She now enjoys the more tranquil life of informing program staff they’ll be doing the herding.
Kari McConnell | Program Director
Kari is excited to come back to her second home! In 2016, Kari was a part of the LAC team as a Program Facilitator where her passion for the outdoors and helping others were combined, leaving her heartbroken when she had to say "goodbye" to the people and program that she loved. Little did she know, it was not "goodbye" but "see 'ya later". When the opportunity to be a part of the team again was provided, she knew it is where she is meant to be. Kari is a graduate from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor's in Recreation Administration, with an emphasis in Outdoor Leadership, and completed her Master's in Recreation Administration, with an emphasis in Recreation Therapy. Kari is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, who believes in the power of recreation and leisure, especially outdoor adventure, to achieve goals and enrich lives. She is a certified Wilderness First Responder, Level II American Canoe Association Instructor, and has completed 120 hours of Yoga Fit's Intensive Trauma-Informed Warrior Teacher Training.
When Kari isn't working, she enjoys being a momma to her spirited daughter, engaging in yoga, exploring nature, camping, and attending live music venues. Kari loves always striving for adventure and seeking out opportunities for growth and connectedness to others.

Lauren Burke | Equine Manager
Rain or shine, any time of the year, you can find Lauren making sure the horses are fully taken care of. Lauren is an EAGALA Certified Equine Specialist and CHA Instructor with a gift for making people from any background comfortable around horses. She is also from North Carolina but we try not to hold that against her.

Megan Patrick | Operations Manager
A proud Nebraskan at heart, Megan found her way to Kentucky through an internship with Life Adventure Center in 2017. She soon fell in love with both the people and the place. With a BA in Parks & Recreation with an emphasis in Natural Resource from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, Megan is excited to share her knowledge to support the individuals we serve at LAC.
Jeff Greenwell | Farm & Facilities Manager
Keeping nearly 1000 acres over two properties operational and beautiful is no small task, thankfully we have Jeff Greenwell on the job. Equally comfortable operating a 5-ton tractor as he is perfectly stacking hay, he’ll also grace you with endless witty remarks and wisdom free of charge.
Jerry Lancaster | Building, Grounds & Farm Maintenance
It was broken one day and then, seemingly magically, you find it repaired and improved the next. You may not see Jerry but you’ll definitely notice his handiwork around LAC
Jyler Donovan | Program Coordinator
Jyler is an experiential educator who believes strongly in the importance of employing both theory and practice in social justice work. For the last seven years, Jyler had traveled the US and worked with K-12 students on challenge courses and in a variety of outdoor settings. In their free time, Jyler enjoys rock climbing, reading, visiting amusement parks, and playing video games
